QuanG activities

As part of the QuanG programme, each PhD fellow is expected to engage actively in the scientific and societal life of the project, beyond their own research. This means participating in at least one collective action that contributes to QuanG’s broader impact.

These activities aim to:

  • Build transferable skills (communication, teamwork, project design)
  • Open quantum research to society, international collaboration and other disciplines
  • Strengthen the impact of quantum science in new contexts

Each fellow is involved in one of the following three actions:

Communicate Quantum Sciences

Introduce quantum science to international high school students through engaging English-language outreach sessions. A unique opportunity to share your passion, practice science communication, and connect science with education.

Across the Border

Design and organise a summer school in 2026 with other early-career researchers from across Europe, especially from widening countries. A collective adventure to build scientific and cultural bridges.

Humanities & Sustainability

Two complementary tracks:

  • Humanities for Quantum: Collaborate with humanities researchers to reflect on the societal, philosophical, or historical dimensions of quantum technologies.
  • Sustainable Quantum: Create a working group to analyse the environmental impact of quantum science and promote sustainable practices.
