Out-of-lab day 2024

On October 8, 2024, the QuanG PhD fellows gathered for the first Out-of-Lab Day, held this year at Auberge de la Croix Perrin in Lans-en-Vercors.

The goal of this event was to step outside the lab environment, foster group cohesion, and reflect on cross-cutting topics that matter to all researchers.

Three inspiring talks

The day featured three engaging presentations delivered by guest speakers:

• Responsible Innovation, by Dakota Root
• Scientific Communication in English, by Robert Whitney

A shared vegetarian lunch

At midday, all participants and speakers gathered for a 100% vegetarian meal, which provided a relaxed moment to connect and chat informally with fellow researchers.

Weather changed the plan

Unfortunately, the guided mountain walk scheduled for the afternoon had to be cancelled due to bad weather. Despite this, the event remained rich in discussions and was warmly appreciated by all attendees.
